Our second independent trip (apart from Uncle.S's constant watch over us) was beautiful! Giving a day-to-day, hour-by-hour detail would only spoil the time we had. Without giving any further details, we move on.
Day one in Pondy was good. Our fellow friends, got the room right above ours, they signed in with phony names! They said they were from the Delhi Press (I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Ashish's 'press card')!!!! When Krit and Joe, stealthily got to the boys room and knocked on the door, the bell boy saw them and directed them to their rooms saying, "Madam, your room is on the floor below".
Pondicherry is a small town (I don't want to get into the technicalities of it being a UT and the like), and since we went in June, the weather wasn't too great. It had been pouring for over a week prior to our visit. As luck would have it, we didn't experience the vagaries of the climate. Within our room, we had the air conditioner to our disposal and outside of it, we played remote control to the weather! Our four days passed without a single complaint.
The only probable hitch we had with the place, were the people, who unrelentingly gawked at us. We also had some 'porky' boys following us. That wouldn't stop us from being clad the way we wanted, or roaming around the streets till late evening (I should say night actually, what with the streets closing at the brink of sunset).
